DD40 movement in DD36 possible?

I don’t know if this has been discussed before, but I love the DD36 just wish it had an updated movement

Eventually. And I never understood why Rolex upgrades the movt in 40mm but not 36mm? Isn’t the concept supposed to be - same watch, just different size, as opposed to one is superior to the other?

Will it fit? Probably. Good luck sourcing a 3255 though

If the watch keeps excellent time, only needs to be serviced once every 10-15 years, has 24hrs or more of reserve, what difference does it make which Rolex movement is in the case?

I would be more interested in the ceramic sleeves in the bracelet than the movement.

Just curious.
