I first joined the Forum right after I purchased my GMT IIC and had a question about adjusting the bracelet. JJ immediately answered in a post and a PM with much helpful information. His welcome was so much appreciated. I came to appreciate his wonderful sense of humor, his honesty, his knowledge and enthusiasm about Rolex. I always looked to his post as part of any thread as this lit up any topic. The most outstanding feature was his love for his family. The greatest gift a person can leave is the memory implanted in others. May JJ's memory be one for creating good in the world. JJ, you will be missed.

Rip JJ. He was the first to welcome me years ago and allow me to grow with Rolex.
Remember his Bluesy?

JJ was one of the first to welcome me to the forum and personified the essence of TRF. He made sure everyone felt welcome and a part of the family. God bless Zemina and his family and TRF his second family. We can all be comforted knowing he is now in no more pain and watching over us all. God bless you JJ and rest in peace. Here's to you!

When I started visiting this forum, JJ was the first Rolex "face" I recognized as a true afficionado. I lauded his posts and reviews, and lamented his declaration to liquidate his collection. Now we all know why. Rest in Peace, JJ.

God Bless
I actually had a great day until now. I never met the man, but am extremely saddened tonight. Hug the ones you love, enjoy a pint. Life is much too short. Blessings to JJ's family.

What can I say that already has not been said, JJ was a great man. I am proud to have known him and I will always cherish his friendship. He will be missed so much, TRF will never be the same. I just wish I had the opportunity to sit down with him and talk watches over a beer.
RIP JJ my friend, you will never be forgotten.

RIP JJ. I swapped a number of PMs with him getting into details of how the Sub-C sizing worked for my wrist, which was the same size as JJ's. I really enjoyed getting to know him on the forum and he will be missed.

When I first started reading the forum and saw JJ's many posts all over the place I thought to myself "who is this guy with that goofy grin?" It wasn't long however before I came to realize what a great man JJ is. His bright, enthusiastic personality is something we all should aspire to. I am very saddened to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his family whom he obviously loved very much. JJ, you will be missed!

We've lost a great guy....the show must go on but it will be different now....I am finding it hard to accept that he will not be posting anymore.....I spoke to JJ quite a few times by PM, what a man.....he even laughed at my jokes.......it's a very sad time for his family and all of us.....he has left a fantastic legacy of threads/posts here which will be there to read for all of us when we feel down in the mouth....there is so much in his posts that could cheer up the saddest person......he will truly be missed....rest in peace big fella

There's no heart like his.
I remember when we were in the early planning stages of our NZ trip, he was looking forward to a gtg. We still plan to go and hope to meet Zemina and the Family...

Sometimes people refer to another as an "old soul". To me old soul is the highest honor of appreciation. I haven't had the honor of meeting J.J. In person but to me he's an old soul, always humorous, always helpful. Thanks J.J.! My sincerest condolences to J.J.'s family and friends.
