Tritium dial models vs Luminova

Hi guys, can someone please educate me on the difference between the Tritium dial models vs Luminova? Also what does it all mean?

I've been offered a sub no-date with the tritium dial so thought I'd ask the question.

Luminova glow in the dark, Tritium dosen't longer.

Collectors like Tritum better and the hands and index's will be yellow and give the watch some patina.

Luminova is bright white. Tritium is not longer used in Rolex watches since around 1998.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Tritium dials use radioactive material to activate the luminous paint, which Luminova uses natural light to "charge" the paint. The Tritium dials were phased out in 1998/1999, and most Tritium models will have little or no glow left now.

Hope this helps

Chris
