Because US already pays a 20% premium to Switzerland. So now it is 13% vs 20% that is how and also the dollar picked up roughly half of that decline already.

I think this will hurt owners with current references that they already have a tough time selling and don't think it will improve sales for them either. For those who buy right your discount just got bigger. For those who pay retail well you know. For those who own retired references with strong demand means nothing to you! For the very hard pieces to source that Patek doesn't discount much they will still remain very hard to source pieces. So now world will have more even playing field for prices. Again buy right and buy the right pieces and life goes on!

with all these prices decrease, it will make the pricing matrix go south and not inline with others brands where there are increasing their price such as AP ? It just cannot understand.

May AP took the wrong route

No. Since AP increase price while PP reduce, it means AP is now more prestigious than PP.

Will certainly make it less attractive for grey dealers. No margin or parallel importing benefits.

See what happens with preloved goods. There should be a few bargains coming up

I had to check the calendar when I first read this thread - I thought it was an April Fool's Day joke.

I'll be curious when someone can confirm what the actual drop is in the US.

For those wanting to get into Patek it's a great time.

I remember when AP did this several years ago and pissed off a bunch of RG buyers.

It's funny because if there is a price decrease people will complain, if there is a price increase people will complain. No win. My vote is price decrease.

It sucks Ian! The piece you are getting is not readily available and is definitely sought after regardless of the price decrease so think of it that way. Wear in good health and enjoy her

I sent an email off to a Patek AD in Canada today, got a response back that yes the price was changing in other countries "but unfortunately the Canadian dollar hasn't been doing much". I took that as "no price change" although I didn't really get an explicit answer.

Just got of the phone with the Boutique in İstanbul (who sells based on a CHF price list)
After talking with the HQ, they confirmed that USD based list prices are +7%, EUR based list prices are +3%, HKD/Most Asia price lists -3%

Please shout if you hear anything different. It is strange that USD prices are increasing less than EUR, given EUR depreciated more against the CHF

Patek Salon Paris has 7% increase, Patek AD Zurich mentioned the same increase for Europe.
