Goldfinger Rolex AD in St. Barth and St. Maarten

Heading to St.Maarten on holiday and will spend some time at St.Barth as well.

I see there’s the same Rolex AD Goldfinger Jewelry in both islands. I am looking for GMT-Master II Oystersteel jubilee Pepsi or Sprite.

Have reached out to them to check and they are asking to setup an appointment as their inventory changes frequently. I am hesitant to setup one up or to lose time off my vacation unless they have either in stock for me to try on, see and purchase.

What is the likelihood of this AD having high demand pieces in stock?

Has anyone had any experience with them, and if so, what was your experience?

In my view, it's a complete waste of time. I would enjoy the vacation and not bother to visit the AD.

I can’t comment on the AD but if they let you setup an appointment just so they can tell you no then that’s a really crappy AD.

Exactly what I try to avoid, to setup an appt to tell me in person they do not have pieces I am interested in

Hence feedback from fellow board members would help if they have purchased or dealt with this AD in past

If it were me, I would book the appointment. It's not going to take that much time away from your vacation and if you're able to acquire either GMT the location only sweetens things.

Same thing happened to me recently in Turks & Caicos with the AD. I called before my arrival (I asked for Pepsi and Daytona). They said come in for an appointment because they had inventory coming in and out also. I had my $$$ ready on their word. I arrived there days later and showed up at the AD. They had no inventory, everything was on "Exhibition." It sounds like the same thing happened to you.

Lol, why would you expect an AD you don't know to suddenly want to give you a Pepsi or Daytona? How realistic is that assumption?

Things run differently on the islands…but the Rolex experience is the same crappy one we have on the mainland. Don’t waste your time

I always enjoy visiting AD's while on vacation; however, best if expectations are kept low.

I would be amazed if you could get what you wanted whilst away on your holidays.
If it was me I’d be making the most of your holiday

chance is slim, if you concern losing vacation time, then don't bother because most likely they won't sell to you unless you plan to buy a bunch of expensive jewelries from them.

Hi my friend, I bought my first Rolex at this AD in SXM 11 years ago (sub 114060) and a Tudor BB PRO 2 years ago.
There is no more magic there than anywhere else, you can be lucky on a TT or gold piece if first walk-in (this might be the real purpose of the appointment), but for what you're looking for that is clearly impossible to drink any Pepsi or sprite.
I'm often in this area and unfortunately nothing has changed. Last year again, they tried to bundle 2 Tudor BBAY so I can buy a white dial DJ ahaha.

Anyway let us know if you finally walk in, but I also think it should be a waste of time.

Don't go to the one in Margot.
Weird part of town with nothing around it.

Not worth your time at all.

Given I’ve reached out to them with watches I am interested in, it certainly would not make sense for them to still setup an appt with me at location they do not have either of those pieces - it would be waste of everyone’s time

On the day of appt, I plan confirming they have either of the pieces before I go so we do not waste time here

Fellow members that have dealt with this AD in past can share their experiences as AD is in the islands where likely most customers are tourists

It would waste your time far more than theirs - but it does give them an opportunity to sell you something else...

I would think the chances of them selling you a BLRO are slim to none, but miracles do happen, and I'm always an optimist.

Like others have mentioned, they have watches in the back…are they going to sell one to you is another question.

What if they offer you a GMT but you have to bundle it with something else (jewelry/non-rolex watch), would you do it? Their job is to sell so that’s something to consider.

Worst thing that can happen is you get a chance to chat about Rolex, and try on some nice pieces. That’s the way I look at any AD visit.

Great question and likely I would not, unless ‘bundle item’ is of insignificant/small value

I doubt they would use deceptive sales tactics of luring customer in store by false promises in order to sell something different … it would totally backfire and work against jewelry store and brand image

I can think of worse case scenarios, if it were one of my vacations.

One worse case is that, as is 99.9999% likely, they don't have anything for sale and my wife asks for the rest of the day why we went out of way to visit another Rolex AD on our vacation knowing that it was going to be an empty trip.

Another worse case is that my wife sees some sort of way overpriced and junky piece of expensive jewelry and insists on buying it there ... still with no Rolex offered to me. She might do this because she actually likes the piece of jewelry ... or she might do it as a way of punishing me for taking a side trip to the Rolex store and as a deterrent for future visits while on vacation.

Man, sorry for this but they may have 300 calls/emails like yours a day. Almost every AD worldwide does not provide any info by phone and invite for appointments.
That doesnt mean they have the watch every random request by phone wants just cause they are proposing a visit to them.
Obviously there are particular phenomemons like eclipses or Pepsis as a walk in so just try and report back to us

No chance at the St Barths AD. That places is swarming with multi millionaires and billionaires and everyone there is wearing some major watches! The island sees many repeat visitors that have loads of money to blow before partying at Nikki beach! Can’t speak for St Maarten AD.

I was recently on both islands. I was offered (and turned down) a nice Calatrava the St Barth's Patek AD.
Didn't make it to the Rolex AD, but sometimes good things happen.

You'll never find out playing on the internet. Or...
Go on vacation
Have it keep playing on your mind
Walk past the AD's a couple times
Come home
Think about how you didn't check it out for yourself the rest of your life
