The BEST diver watch
Money doesn't matter and you're never allowed to sell it.
So the only important things are - looks - reliability - comfort of case and definitely bracelet - water proof to let's say 200 M, 2000 and 5000 M and more are just useless gimmicks ( thats why I exclude Deepsea, Omega Ultra deep, and even the Seadweller ... as for Rolex, a Sub is good enough) TOTALLY unimportant - Brand recognition - resale value

Without doubt my own personal working tool 16600 SD with well over 600 hours underwater never skipped a beat, now almost 25 years old still running strong wish I was the same.

For the money it’s this one for me.
Fully graduated bezel, crazy lume, superior legibility, throw in a day and date, and a super comfortable (yes rattly) jubilee bracelet. Btw this also meets the ISO 6425 standards. All this a a fraction of the cost Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There are several Seamaster watches that perform similarly in that regard but the poll simply says "Seamaster" so it is hard to know what you're voting for! |

Yea, I am a huge dive watch fan but this isn’t going to be close. Perhaps the best dive watch after the Rolex Submariner. Then that might be interesting with Panerai, AP and other top contenders like the Omega PloProf, etc capturing the less traditional looking dive watch popularity. There is a huge dive watch following for the less mainstream looking dive watch that are of straps and not bracelets.

Around 1999 lost my first 16600 SD in the Red Sea replaced with my dive insurance I used a Citizen Aqualand 11 for around 6 months gave far more dive information than the time lapse SD bezel,And that got quite a lot of hard knocks never let me down,a great diving tool watch, but finally went back to my replacement SD.

The Omega PO is one of my all time favourite watches. While this one is a GMT, it also has 600m rating.

Well, given the written criteria of looks, comfort and "definitely bracelet", it's hands-down a win for the Submariner.
BUT the greatest ever dive watch IMO is the Omega Ploprof. An almost perfect exercise of function over form. And I love them!

I’d be going for a submariner (Rolex of course) or maybe an older vintage Tudor sub which is more of a tool watch

The only watches on that list I’ve dove with are the Pelagos and the Luminor Marina. The Pelagos wins but quite frankly not by a huge margin.

This is an easy question. I would choose a Rolex Submariner every time. Preferably a vintage piece.
