Harry Potter

Unless you have been on a desert island for the past 20 years, you'll know the final episode of the Harry Potter books went on sale at midnight. I was listening to Radio Bahrain this morning and it came up as a news topic. They went on about it being the last book and more or less gave the ending away. I wonder how many kids that will have dissapointed? I feel like cacelling my "adult" copy now.

My viewpoint is that just because you may know how something ends, you don't get the full experience from reading it word to word.

I own the first 6 books and haven't read any of them and I've seen all the movies. So even though the movies have told me what will happen, I'm still going to read the books...eventually.

How much is is on sale for in the US?

I got it for my Mother in the UK as I bought her all the HP books so far. Asda Supermarket (part of WalMart) is selling it for amazing £5 when it has a recommended retail price of £17.99. It si also £4 cheaper than Amazon.co.uk who are the cheapest online after Asda online (who were completely sold out very very quickly).

Asda also sold 250,000 copies from Midnight to 9am which sounds impressive. Ar bookshop sold the 15 copies per second until they sold out !!
