Red Sub or Daytona SS Black ?

I was looking through various forum for a suitable Rolex for daily office wear. But I come across a rare Red Sub and a Daytona SS Black on sale. I only have enough money for just one watch. Which one should I choose ?

Myself not a fan of the modern Daytona,so it would be the Red Sub.But the trouble there are quite a few fake and altered dials in the market. So buyer do you home work and get watch checked out before you buy.

by insisting to deal after verification at a RSC, they should be able to advise whether it is a fake or modified Red Sub, right ?

Very true.
Also if you can post pictures for us to see and learn that will be a big plus too.

Depends on if you want vintage or modern. The 1680 would be my choice, but as padi said be very carefull. The 1680 RED is on of the most faked vintage pieces out there.

Daytona. I'm not a fan of vintage or old watches - availability of spare parts, risk of getting a fake, servicing and waterproofing issues need to be considered.

But you should buy the one that appeals more to your eye...

Red Sub would be my choice as well. Post some pictures before you buy, we'll be happy to offer some advice.
