Icon5 Found a couple old watches

Hey all! New to the forum. I came across some old watches my parents had. After searching all over the internet, can't seem to find info on either. Is it safe to assume that they're not authentic Rolex watches? I have included images

Yes it's extremely safe to say they aren't genuine I'm afraid.

This is a lesson on how to cram as many logos onto a case back as humanly possible

Although very fake, they still have some value. The value is they are something your parents wore, unknowing they were fake maybe, but a part of them is with those.

I would still keep these pieces for memories. Yes, although it is not genuine and worthless, every single watch holds a piece of family history. It is still a family heirloom that deserves to be remembered (to hold onto).

I would wear them with pride. Family bond lives forever!

Thank you all for responding! I’m new to the watch world but my dad was really into watches. What are some signs that a Rolex isn’t genuine? I know the lack of having the ref number on the watch is one.

Currently wearing what was once my dad’s daily watch and i couldn’t find a ref number on it. I did find a “Retail Replacement Cost Certificate” from when he purchased it during his time working for Mayors Jewelers. Can’t find the papers on it though 😔

I assume it’s genuine because it was purchased through an authorized dealer but I don’t know if those dealers are always reputable. Can any of y’all provide insight?

It very likely may be 75% SS.

I am beginning to wonder about this post. Is OP trying to get the TRF community to authenticate and sell these fakes?

The watch with the white dial and fluted bezel: the numbers in the cyclops look all wrong. The font looks weird. Swiss Made lettering is off center

Certificate: in 2007 certificates with a 6 digit serial? I don’t think so
Watch reference number, “2413623”, what is that?
UPC code: for a Rolex watch, huh?

I like to try and give the benefit of the doubt but it really feels like it.

Sorry, don’t mean to raise any questions. I’m not trying to sell fakes or do anything of the sorts. I don’t know much about Rolex watches so I’m just looking for insight on the watches my parents had!

It is possible that the two lines about the Serial # and UPC # were added to the cert.

Those two lines are indented and also the i in Serial has a sort of + sign for the dot, versus the regular dot in the other i's in the document.

I’m trying to make sense of it honestly. My dad purchased it at Mayors when he worked there years ago. I guess they gave him this certificate if he were to return it.

The numbers on it just don’t make sense to me. The UPC might be the number they used for inventory at the time but the serial and reference numbers look incorrect.

The last watch is fake.
I doubt Mayors sold him that watch you are picturing. I question the authenticity of that document.
As another poster said, it does not mean you should not wear it if your Dad actually did wear it.
It is probably an original Rolex made in China.

The datejust also appears counterfeit and some of the information on the paperwork does not make sense

The font on the date wheel looks off. Also the fluted bezel doesn’t have the correct flutes and looks like steel and not gold. All the numbers in that certificate make no sense.

The fact they’ve put “Rolex” in quotation marks says it all.

These are bad fakes, circa the 1980’s, that were sold for $10-20 in Chinatown, NYC.
The “T” on the bottom of the dial is for Tritium - Clearly, none of these watches have real tritium markers on the dial…..
