My birthday present

So, we arrived home from the shooting range last night and my wife gave me a small package. Good things come in small packages......

Hmmm, not sure what this is. It seems too small for a watch, or is it?

Well, it's sort of a watch!

It's the watch movement cuff links! Beauty!

I'm quite pleased with these - fitted with two old Bulova 5BA shaped movements set in sterling silver mounts. Quite a nice WIS accessory I think!

Are the movements functional? A great gift, to be sure!

Nice, I've been considering getting a pair of those myself.

BTW, nice to have a wife who, while she may not 'get it', she at least supports it.

Yes, I have to say I feel very lucky in that regard......she is very supportive of the things I do, and me of her interests.

It was the link you posted that she saw me looking at one night at home a few months ago, and then she had the idea of getting them for my birthday......so thanks to you for the link, John.

Hmm, you have a GO on your wrist thanks to me, and now these cufflinks. Hey.... I think I'm slowly becoming your personal shopper.
