If I had to have just one Rolex, SS daytona. However, I have several ss rolexes (dj, gv, gmt) so when I go daytona, it's gonna be tt. Different style and mood.

I had a SS white dial but essentially traded it in for a TT with that panda dial. I'm very happy with the move, but I think both watches are awesome. They do seem to have different characters. I think the SS is elegant in an understated way while the TT is a bit more outgoing. As stated above, in the end, it comes down to what is most pleasing to you.

TT daytonas look like a replica watch to me, just my op. At the end of the day better for you to choose which you like the most

I bought a SS and was perfectly happy untill I started noticing the TT...Well I traded in my loved SS for a TT version and could not be happier...The looks of the TT depends on the dial configuration...there is much more choice then the SS black or white...
go TT you wont be dissapointed.... |

SS all the way, makes me happy just having it on my wrist. Like the fact that it looks perfect in either jeans or a suit.

I have the ss white but would be happy with the TT.
It all depends on your personnel likes and dislikes. Go with what makes you smile and you wont go far wrong. Forget about resale and all that nonsense, you need to look at your watch, on YOUR wrist and be HAPPY. Best of luck mate |

Are you guys basing your decision on just pictures, or have you seen both a SS and TT in person?

Full white gold dial is my favorite. No TT for me.

The TT has a more balanced feel around the wrist.

I did this very thing and could not be happier. Went from a white face TT Daytona to a SS black Daytona and will never look back. It got so I hated looking at TT any TT on my wrist so I traded my TT GMTIIC and TT Daytona in on a gold GMTIIC and a SS black Daytona. I wore a TT from about 87 to 94everyday and loved it but anymore they are just not for me. I don't think the TTs changed, just me. Thanks DavidSW for working with me to get me into two watches I wear and more importantly enjoy!

The last two threads you revived are both about 2 years old.
