Forgot to closer the pushers for my 116500Ln

After a thorough wash of my daytona under the tap, I came to a sudden realisation that I had left the pushers open! So far there isn't any mist present inside the dials, should I send it to RSC to check if any water droplets has gone in?

You will have no issues washing your Daytona or diving down to 100 metres with the pushers unscrewed.

You should be fine - even with the pushers unscrewed the gaskets should still do their job and I very much doubt that just washing the watch will have defeated them!! I would try not to stress.

Now the screw down pushers on Daytona are to stop you activating the chrono if not needed nothing more .And the pushers have activated and been tested on forum down at 30m by a French dive team without any problem. And the modern day Daytona with the pushers screwed down has been tested down to 63m 207FT underwater without any problem. This depth would be far deeper that most recreational divers would dive they would limit to around 35m 40m . Even if the pushers are unscrewed no dust or water can get in the case even if fully submerged in water but not wise to activate fully underwater or have crown unscrewed and they just need to be finger tight.

The screw-down things are simple lock nuts. No gaskets in them. As long as you don't use the pushers under water you'll be fine. I leave my pushers unscrewed unless I'm in the ocean. I shower with the Daytona on and pushers unscrewed. I wash the Daytona in the sink with liquid handsoap with the pushers unscrewed. You have nothing to worry about.

Oh wow thanks for sharing guys. Learnt something new today! I think this knowledge about the pushers having no part to play in the water resistance is still not widely known yet. I called my local watch guy earlier and he insisted the pushers have to be screwed down. Guess I would have to introduce him to this forum!

It is very reassuring to know that I won't have to be conscious about the pushers again. I will leave it open for now since I use the chronograph quite frequently.
