How tight do you wear your Oyster

Hi,
New member here. I've had a 16600 for about 12 years, and just got a new Rootbeer and A series Bluesy. I notice some people wear their oyster bracelets snug so that it holds the wrist and doesn't move. Some people have a little space to allow the watch to move freely. I prefer the latter. Does one fitment impose accelerated stretch on the links as opposed to the other?

Not tight not loose...I can almost/barely put my pinky in-between my wrist and clasp.

I can fit a finger under the bracelet quite easily

Wear it how it's comfy. I like it a little loose and between my hand a wrist bone. Anything else is uncomfortable for me.

A looser strap might wear more, but it'll still last for decades. Just keep it clean.

I like to wear mine with enough space to fit pinky between the bracelet and wrist when I have it on. Most modern models have the 5mm extension you can utilize in case your wrist swells up in hot environment.

All my friends wear their bracelets snug. I don’t know how they do it to be honest, it’s so uncomfortable for me.

I like my watch on the looser side, right behind the bone. Def like a bit of play on my watch

As far as bracelet stretch goes- I’ve heard two arguments, one being it stretches from loose bracelet and the other that it stretches from dirt and keeping your bracelet unclean.

That's about where I'm at as well. I prefer my watch to be able to move on my wrist vs being snug. To each their own, but I can't imagine wearing my watch as snug as some of the pictures I see on here, it would drive me nuts.

I wear mine right on the wrist bone. My test for the proper adjustment is: I pull the watch down my arm past the wrist bone, it should be loose, but not able to turn all the way around my arm. That is the perfect adjustment for me.

My wrists swell quite a bit in heat or when walking. At home in the aircon and after a few hours the watch is quite loose, but after a short while when I go out it fits snugly.

Yup….where it too loose with the head flopping around or dirty. I can just barely squeeze a pink under too help it not stretch.

I wear all my watches snug proximal to the wrist bone.

For me that means I can fit 1 finger under the bracelet without the use of any extension mechanisms.

Mine is tight to the point where there is no movement, but it’s not as tight as it could be if that makes sense. I’d classify it as being perfect in terms of fitting.

My Speedmaster on leather strap doesn’t fit as comfy as my Submariner or Seamaster. It’s fine but I can’t quite get it as tight as I want without it being too tight to the point where I don’t like it.
