Additional Authentication required?

Hi everyone, I won a brand new Rolex submariner “Starbucks” in a competition recently, it came with all the paperwork and box, also had the “eBay authentication guarantee card” with it, not sure if that’s any indicator of authenticity even though the company Ebay uses is stoll & co who do seem to have a decent reputation but the feedback from buyers and sellers seem on eBay seems to be mixed.

I’m not sure if I should find a reputable independent person/company to check the watch over for piece of mind? If it deemed necessary then can anyone recommend who would be best to take it to in the Essex area? Obviously it doesn’t need servicing as brand new but been reading that a proper authentication requires the back to be removed but wouldn’t that void the warranty? Or should the papers be enough for me to conclude that this is a genuine watch?

I don’t have any intention of selling it but obviously don’t want it to be the case that if I ever do it turns out to be a fake that’s worth £100 as opposed to the £15,000 that I’m led to believe it’s currently worth!

Have added images and can upload some more if required. Thanks

Have included as many imagines as possible for reference.

Congrats with winning a beautiful watch! Where and with what did you win it? Normally i advice, buy the seller. In this case, do you find the company you won it with trustworthy? Otherwise go to the nearest RSC and ask for a service quote. They will look at the watch and open it up to look and won’t void the warranty.

Certainly worth more than what it cost me to enter the competition though. Did the images that I attached show up with my original message?

Thanks

I won it a few weeks back with Click Competitions, I don’t believe that they would knowingly offer it up if the didn’t think it was 100% genuine, the fact it was purchased through Ebay just makes me think that I should get it checked out just in case they have been unknowingly had over themselves. Where would the nearest RSC be to myself? Would they need the watch for long to complete it? How much roughly would it cost do you know? Sorry for all the questions, I’ve no idea about watches! Was hoping that the images of exactly what I received would tell it’s own story so I would have mind put at ease and not have to go though any hassle of getting it looked at.

They are a reputable company no doubt about that:

If you check out click competitions on trustpilot site they have very good reviews:

But obviously they are not experts on watches, maybe I’m just being paranoid at this point, it’s just when you start reading up about how convincing the fake watches are these days you start to question everything, so no need to be getting it looked at for additional authenticity would you say?

Congrats! and enjoy the watch.... don't waste your time re-authentication.
It has all the markings of being authentic.

The two UK Rolex RSCs are near you. One is in Mayfair and the other is in West Malling, just off the M20. They are friendly and helpful. You'll probably want a service quote, which will be cheap for the peace of mind it will bring you. My Local AD will authenticate watches. They have RSC level equipment and an accredited watchmaker on the premises. I don't know which ADs in Essex/London have similar facilities but some of them must have.

Ok, thanks all for your feedback, looks like an RSC may be a good idea, although even if I didn’t proceed with that it would seem that I don’t actually have anything to be concerned with authenticity wise thank god.

I accept that I have basically cheated my way into the Rolex owners club, but what a club to be in!

I would not feel the need, looks good, full set and the added ebay paperwork.
Nothing to worry.

Huge congrats and enjoy wearing it

It looks legit, but who knows these days. Best bet would be to bring it to the nearest Rolex Authorized Dealer. Ask them for help. They can either have a watch maker look it over or give you options and pricing for sending it to a Rolex Service Center.

Congratulations but Starbucks is a coffee brand what you won is a genuine Rolex 126610LV watch.

If it wasn't stolen you have not cheated. I won my first nice watch as a sales incentive prize in '99. It's what started my collection.

Thanks for confirming, I think it was just a case of something so unexpected and fortuitous occurring that I started to almost look for issues that arnt actually there, guess it’s not that common to win something of such high value (well, not for me anyway, I’ve never won anything in even a school raffle let alone something of this magnitude!) so still kind of processing it all, starting to feel real now though 👍

I agree that with the paperwork you have and everything looking legit I’d probably not be concerned enough to check into it further.

Yes, I wasn’t sure if I should or not, just wanted to give as much info on here as possible, hopefully my ignorance won’t put me in any sort of peril as in on reflection I’m guessing someone with Nefarious tendencies could do something with the info I put here, hopefully not!

I quite like the Hulk one, with it being all green, that model seems to split opinion from the cursory research I’ve done, all about different people having different tastes isn’t it at the end of the day.

Presumably when the value of the Starbucks hit£16,000+duringthe pandemic it was somewhat of a false market so it’s unlikely to hit those sort of heights again?
