JJ's record for getting rid of a watch ?

Is the Breitling going to be flipped in record fast time even before the baseball-cap arrives ?
Does anyone know the shortest length of time he's kept a watch for ?

I'm sure JJ will be on soon to give us the answers.

Calling JJ.

Shortest time has been an SS DJ which I bought on impulse 'cause I liked it. In fact, it was quite beautiful on a Jubilee bracelet. Only problem was its size - 36 mm - too bloody small for my wrists. Knocked it off within a month.

Why sell the Brietling? No Breitling love here, huh? I personally love my Breitling Crosswind Special and get loads of compliment on it, albeit from non watch enthusiats .

Do you think you'll be able to turn a profit on that Breitling, let alone in such a short period of time

You did say it was a good bargain.
I would keep it. Just wear it when you want to "dress down". Use as an accessory, not as a watch.

JJ, I've told you once and will tell you again: ditch all the watches and buy the Daytona. Then start looking for a second watch again. I mean it. There are so many nice watches to choose from. The UN Marine Chronometer, the Panerai Radiomir 8 Days, etc. etc.

OK, a profit you say? How about 25 rock solid Euro? Plus shipping of course

The last Panerai 005 I had lasted exactly 5 days, then I traded it for the UN.

Are you saying the Breitling was a planned purchase?

I say it will be gone in 6 months. I do however wish you luck in making a healthy profit on the sale.

Of course the Breitling was a planned purchase. He spent at least 5 minutes planning to purchase it once he saw it and the price.

No Mark, it wasn't planned at all. Just walked in to wish all my friends and happened to see the watch sitting there with a ridiculously low, low price tag on it. Liked it, so I bought it.

If he wished his friends a Merry Xmas first, that should have taken 5 minutes. If he walked in, saw the watch, and plunked down his cash, you're right. 30 sec at most.

See JJ, if your priorities were correct you would have said:

"Just walked in and happened to see this beautiful watch that I had to have, and to top it off, it was a great deal!"

The way you have written about this watch (over and over) it was the price that attracted you first, then the watch........consider it a lesson learned, and one that will make you money........amazing the luck some people have.

Okay, Al, the fact is I was attracted to the shiny SS bling of the watch as well as its overall get-up. I really couldn't see the price 'cause the tag was hanging over on the other side and was covered by the watch. When I got him to take it out for a look-see, that's when I noticed the riduculously low price and knew it was a bargain.

Whether I sell it or not would really depend on ONLY if I'm making a profit on the deal. If not, no worries, I'll keep it and enjoy it....it just takes a little getting used to, that's all.....let's see what happens....no promises or comments until....well, whenever!!

Okay, to summarize - shiny head, shiny teeth, shiny watch - this is JJ a "nut"-shell.

Maybe, but you don't know what he paid for it. I think those of that do realize he stands to make a profit.

Good point. I am still willing to bet that JJ, at best, gets what he paid for it.
