You've obviously been scammed into buying a lemon, Roger. I'll do you a favour and take it off your hands for free.

Don't worry, Roger. I have the tools to fix the problem. Just UPS it to me and I'll have it fixed up for you. Of course the repairs do take quite a while. I can probably have the watch back to you in, say, 2-3 years.

Wait a minute, James. At least I'm offering to fix the watch and return it to him in better shape than before. You just want to keep the watch for yourself.

Who's making Roger the better offer here?

Love that Explorer 1. Still haven't worn the one I purchased for Christmas. Hard to take off my 14060M. It has been my only watch for 3.5 years.

Sweet watch, I'd like to see it on a carbon strap

That is some love for your sub pal!! Very cool. Sounds like you have two watches that will get lots of love.

They're both sweet watches. That would be a hard choice. Both very clean, uncluttered dials.

The Everest watch is cool

Hey great photo's of your Exp I Roger. I like the date story. It reminds me of a film I saw with the late Peter Ustinov who said in the movie that the town clock was accurate every 12 hrs.
A nice way of saying it didn't work!!

Goodwatch thinks it would look good with a carbon strap. Me too.

The Di-Modell Carbonio Sport would set the watch off a treat. What size is the lug gap 18mm?

Hi Tardis,

If you're asking about the lug width on the Explorer, it's 20 mm.

Thanks JJ.

I thought Explorer I was a smaller diameter ergo a smaller lug width.

The Air King and the Oyster Date at 34 mm each, however, have a lug width of 19 mm.

Hey Roger, if you have a movement that shows the date at the bottom of the dial, tomorrow it'll be correct again.
