not to derail the thread but for $36K I'd skip both those and go for a like-new 5524r on the secondary market :)

For $35,000 would you rather have...
5167a is severely overpriced even at retail.
When i bought mine in 2015, retail was like $19,500 i think and i got 15% off from AD ( readily available in the case) At that time, daytona was $10,800 after 10% discount i recall I felt aquanaut was overpriced. Now at $50k on secondary market, it’s comical Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Amazed yet not surprised at this result.
More people would choose a very basic watch in steel and rubber over a classic elegant watch in precious metal with a fantastic complication. 5146 if you hold it is truly beautiful. |

The Aquanaut was initially an entree level watch for millennials. Steel case on rubber strap. The 5146 Annual Cal was the entrance to complications. Definitely Patek DNA but people went sport watch crazy.
