It turns out that the person I sold the watch to is a broker on watchyouseek.com and a few other online venues so he had no intention of using it personally or selling it back to me. Further, by how emphatic I was that I wanted this one back because of it's personal significance I feel it is safe to say that this particular individual doesn't actually like watches himself or he would be able to relate and not do it for a couple hundred bucks when there are many other deals out there.
Thankfully I happened to be looking in the right place at the right time and ended up happening on my explorer. I have a feeling that some bad karma is coming his way... |
