question about Black Bay ETA Movement
So I have had a black bay noir with the ETA movement for about 3 months now, and has been great, an average gain of 1.5 sec/day. Don't have on a winder, so it occasionally runs down. This morning it was dead, wound it up and around 40 to 50 winds it started spinning the rotor with each turn. Instead of the normally smooth wind, this would spin the rotor like crazy and you could really hear it going...noise and literally seemed linked that if you tuned the crown, it would not wind up but just spin the rotor. This never happened before and I have winded it past 40 or 50 winds in the past and nothing like this has happened with any mechanical watch I have owned.Have had lots of watches from Rolex to Omega to Tudors, Tags and Longines. Many have had ETA movements and in 16 years of owning mechanical watches, never seen this happen. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced something like this with their Tudor BB? Texted AD and they thought it could be "releasing tension" but seems like something is wrong. Thoughts/has this happened to you?
