Hi! Priced at hkd62,100 less 5% discount. But you'll need to insist on that dscount as some ADs there now try to just offer 2% in the beginning, or maybe none at all for sport models.

Hi,

I will be in HK by the end of next month (Nov 2011). Looking for a brand new 16610LN. Where can I get one for a good price and what are the prices now?

Cheers!

My friend work in the jeweler business in HK. He told me those "northerners" can buy 10 Rolex at once, they especially looking for sub. Beside they pay with cash and they don't bargain the price.

What the heck!!!

i talked to a family friend who works at one of the big AD in hk. he says only 5% discount. the reason being is that they dont need business from people who r looking for discounts. they have bus loads of mainlanders buying 10 gmtc at a time without even asking for a discount. right now, theres a waiting list for most of the sports model.
i have been looking for a second watch but with the recent price increase and EXCESSIVE demand, really cant afford one or find one.

however, there are TONS of second hand shops in hong kong. most are legit so dont hesitate to take shot at them, just be sure to do your homework beforehand

Really so you post it at the end of an old thread about Hong Kong-

Suggestion....start a new thread and either include pictures or a link that actaully works.

Good luck

I recently visited Hong Kong over Christmas. They still offer good discounts on non ss model. I visited all the AD near Harbour City. Only one got a date ss sub and non date sub in stock for me to compare. Even with a lot of haggling, can't get more than 5% off any ss submariner. However, the price is still cheaper than UK.

Sub Date HKD$62100 after discount $59000
No date HKD$49000 after discount $46550

If you don't like outdoor window shopping, go to a place call Element. You can see Rolex, AP, VC, Richard Mille, Breguet boutique all in one roof. They even put watches that cost $$$$$$ out in the shop windows ie those with Tourbillon and complications!

I think the prices you quoted are close, but you might do better (-8%) by NOT shopping around Harbour City... that's prime Mainlander shopping area so you're not likely to get the best discounts there. I don't know how many hundred AD's there are in HK, but there are over 100 locations alone of the top 3 jewellery brands (Chow Tai Fook, Chow Sang Sang and Luk Fook) so you'd probably do better at more outlying stores and at the smaller chains and independents.

How do you verify a second hand piece in HK. Does the RSC HK do it and if yes, for a fee of?
