Rolex Service Switzerland

Recently brought my Tudor in for service at the AD. They said they can't service it in house, so they sent it back to the motherland. Interested to know others experience with this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've read somewhere that for the modern calibres they swap out the whole movement rather than perform a service i.e. strip, clean, oil etc?

The Tudor movement swap in lieu of overhauls is usually done at an RSC.

In the OPs case I wonder why the AD claimed it had to go to Switzerland when there is an RSC in Canada.

Could it be they are out of stock on movements there?

If so, it would be a supply chain wrinkle for the procedure of swapping movements.

I was told by my AD that ETA Tudor must go back Switzerland. Honestly I thought it was a little crazy.

My mistake. I wrote Rolex by accident.
