The watchmaker's watches...

Greetings TRF,

We've all read or heard that somewhere, Jaeger-Lecoultre is the watchmakers' watch brand...

...At least it is a brand that this watchmaker likes.

I didn't realize that. Was there a specific reason? Something special about the movement? Great pics, btw.

JLC making so beautiful movements & watches design as well. I love their Gyro line (specially Gyro2 Reverso).

i was always told that zenith was one of the most overlooked watch brands ,, with cyma following close behind ,, i always lusted after a mango diver.

I think it has to do with the fact that Jaeger-Lecoultre has always made their own movements and supplied many, many brands with ébauches that were always of a high quality. They have about 1 200 different calibers in their archives and have had a lot of patents over the years.

Zenith is indeed an overlooked brand as well, I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about Cyma but I have seen a few of their watches and they sure look nice.
