Patek Philippe 5120g. It’s not my birth watch technically but this model came out around my birth year and it was the hottest watch at that time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I have quite a few watches that would qualify as dress watches, ranging from about a hundred dollars to a few thousand.
To stay within the bounds of this forum, I will submit these two for your approval. I prefer a dress watch on a strap.

Here in Cali the rules aren’t so strict. I’ve been to “formal” events where people are showing up in $1,000 sneakers and no tie. So I don’t have any issues wearing a steel sports watch when I have to suit up.

All of them.
I buy watches that go with me, not with my cloths or other accessories. If I think it looks good, it looks good. If I think it looks bad, it looks bad. I'm not really interested in what anybody else thinks. They are not me and they didn't buy my watches. People should do as they see fit. |

For a dress watch, i would go with either a PP MR, 5396, Calatrava, Lange 1815, Saxonia moon phase, 1815/Saxonia AC or JLC MUTM.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback and wrist shots! There are a lot of stunning pieces out there and I’m not sure if you’ve made my decision easier or harder LOL!

My dress watch is a GS sbgw253 and it fits the bill perfectly.
I waited decades for something like it to come along |
