Icon5 Jay Leno's Watch???

Just a quick question... I watch Jay Leno pretty much nightly and am yet to identify his watch. You only get fleeting glimpses but it appears to be a Pam Chrono of some sort. Does anybody know and am I even close? Whatever it is, it's gold, thick and definitely upper crust stuff. I've searched on the Pam forums and Googled it, no go... Somebody has to know, any ideas?

I know what your talking about, many forums have discussed this. I always thought the watch was a Patek, but no real front views can be seen when the show is on, Mr. Leno seems to like to keep his beautiful watch under his shirt sleeves. What's the point of owning a beautiful watch if it's going to be hidden under your sleeves all the time?

This article in The Washingtonian suggests he wears an Xemex.

From their website..

http://teno.com/cewhowexe1.html

I don't see, however, the gold version I'm seeing peek from under Jay's sleeve. Maybe a Piccadilly Chrono... tough to tell.

i've tried to figure this out too, but can never get a good look at it. i know he collects cars and bikes, but i'm guessing not watches, otherwise we'd see a little variety on his wrist.

i was watching a tivo'd eposide of him one night - in high def.
he was cooking with a lady, and several time the watch took up most of the picture - I freezed the picture on the watch several times and had an almost perfect view of it.
still couldn't tell what the hell it was. couldn't read a name on it-
I think it looks VERY close to an IWC perp. calendar - but not exactly.

I'm glad I found this thread - because this same question has been killing me for months!!!!!!

I still don't have any clue... but after having seen it many times now, I'm beginning to think it's, perhaps, not as exclusive or expensive as I first thought. I'll have to keep looking until something concrete presents itself.

Wow, if that's the case, I retract my last statement. Jay's watch looks more like YG to my eye.

If you look at this video (http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/video/...tml?vid=244892) you can make out the shape and the watch a bit. The JLC rose gold has always looked a bit more like yellow gold to me than other rose golds, but this is I think most definitely the watch (http://www.bernardwatch.com/Jaeger-L...l-Alarm/JLC217). That and my friend asked Jay Leno what watch he was wearing and Jay told him...

yeah, I also know a rich person who always wears his 200K Rolex under his sleeve. It's easy to understand that he never wants to leave it out sight. He also doesn't want to show it off because that can be a threat to his wrist!

I will have to ask him on our next motorcycle ride. I know he has a few watches and wears a different watch for different times but never really looked on his wrist. Odd because we ride all the time and I am a watch guy. Should see him on the ride to Guy Websters museum out in Ohai at the end of March.

One thing I will say is that out of all the Hollywood types I have met, he is the nicest, most non pretentious man I know.

The StrapSmith web page (strapsmith.com) suggests he likes Panerai, too. I'm sure he has more watches than many of us, one to match each of his cars!

If you had his re$ources, what would you wear?
