Anyone know if this heavily water damaged dial is genuine?

I know it is damaged but I would like to know if it is genuine either way.

It is from my grandfathers watch. If it is genuine I want to have it installed for sentimental reasons. If it is not genuine then I will just keep the watch as is with the aftermarket dial he installed a few years ago.
