Huh? Posting delay: 100 seconds?
Anyone else having this problem? Is this new? I've never seen it before.
"The following errors occurred with your submission: This forum requires that you wait 100 seconds between posts. Please try again in 3 seconds." Annoying.

Yes topic was opened in the open discussion forum, a lot of spam has been happening on the forums lately and this is the what they are using to tone it down. All and all looks like it is working pretty well.

OK thanks - shame it's necessary. Doesn't appear to be working very well from where I'm sitting...

I am sorry you fine this wait to post annoying, but when the forum is full of spam and other things like filth, pornographic images, etc I am sure that would be more annoying dont you think. The trouble with some of you guys we try and give you the fastest reliable add free forum, that's stacked with free information. Then some moan about the 100 second posting rule,Huh now that's annoying especially to the admin side, who work hard to keep the forum safe for its members..

I think it should be longer especially for those with less than 25 posts

Can Pledge Members buy a shorter delay? Maybe a dollar or two a second to offset costs associated with programming the new feature.

I am sorry, but I really dislike this new feature. I used to love coming on here and giving some quick and furious feedback to many. This has just reduced my number of posts per day as I have limited time for TRF and am now just doing more reading on threads and less contributing.... I may not have anything important to say, but I believe some (myself included) appreciate more contribution/commentary on this forum rather than less. It's true, I cannot imagine what a pain it must be to deal with all the spam and you all do a truly superb job of keeping this place running, but there must be another way. Any thoughts about reducing the wait time from 100 seconds to 30 for instance? Thank you for your time. Thomas

No I'm sorry there is no ability to limit the application of this to any class/es of members..

If there was/is an announcement thread, explaining this big change, then I missed it, otherwise I would not have asked the question. Please post a link to the announcement, if there is one. If there is not an announcement thread in the 'announcements' section, then may I ask why? The first response to my post was adequate; it gave me the information I needed, and I thanked the poster for the explanation, and said it was a shame that it was necessary. Which it is.
