Poll: Beverly Hills October GTG

Michael Ruhland, the master of all of our wonderful previous GTGs, and I would like to propose a GTG for October. I'll begin by posting a poll with these possible dates: October 10, October 17 or October 24. Let us know which date works for you. (I'm voting for late October and, hopefully, cooler weather.)

The GTG will include lunch, followed by a walking tour of all the major watch boutiques on and around Rodeo Drive. Those of you who have attended before know how cool this is. We hope you will join us.

Very cool, John. What ladies don't like a nice trip to Beverly Hills?

Wow I can't believe I may do this. If the funds are available I may try to fly out for 2 days from the Cincinnati area! This sounds like a blast.

Our member Relyt is visiting us from out of town. This is going to be very cool. If anyone is in a position to put him up for a few nights, please PM him. I will pick him up at the airport and do my best to ferry him around town.

Note: We need someplace nice here, guys. Relyt is not a college kid. He hasn't got time to sleep on the sofa and eat taco chips with you. As entertaining as that may be.

For those of you who have been before, you know the drill. For those who haven't, here's what you can expect.

--Lunch at The Honor Bar/The South Beverly Grill. Acceptable food. Acceptable prices. Here's a menu.

http://hillstone.com/menus/southbeve...ll%20Lunch.pdf.

If anyone has a better idea, let's hear it. I'm open to all suggestions.

--After lunch, we amble up Rodeo Drive to any or all of the following watch boutiques:

Brequet
Richard Mille
Porsche Carrera
Westime
Geary's Rolex
Geary's Patek Philippe
Vacheron Constantin
Cartier
Harry Winston
Channel
Bulgari
Ralph Lauren
IWC
Jaeger LeCoutre
Panerai
Philippe's Watches of Beverly Hills (used watches)
Tourbillon Boutique (Omega, Blancpain, etc.)
David Orgell

There are probably a few that I am forgetting, but you get the idea.

I won't go so far as to say that this is the totally coolest thing that watch nerds could do. I will simply say: Be there or miss out.

Possible GTG Side Trip: We could also arrange to go up to the F.P. Journe Boutique (http://www.fpjourne.com/eu/boutiques...osangeles.html) and Westime on Sunset (http://westime.com), and Feldmar on Pico (http://www.feldmarwatch.com). We would have to do some watch nerd driving, but it could work.

I voted for the 10th, however, anything except the 24th will do. I will be up in Yosemite National Park that week. I really enjoyed the last one.

Hope we get some more people to vote in the poll (so that I don't have to arbitrarily pick the date ).

We are going to close the poll soon so that folks can plan their schedules. I hope anyone who has yet to make up their mind will join us.

This GTG is not just for watch nerds, watch collectors, watch enthusiasts, et al. It's for anyone who wants to have a good time and a good lunch, talk with great people, and walk around Beverly Hills. Should be fun.

Ladies, Gentlemen and watch-istas, I will be closing the poll tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. (01:00 GMT 21 September 2015).

It was always been the plan to have the lunch at Honor Bar, 122 S Beverly Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90212. However, if anyone has a better idea, or if anyone owns a restaurant in Beverly Hills, please PM me.

The food was good at the Honor Bar and they have parking next to the restaurant for those not staying for the store pilgrimage.
