A dress watch

Hi everyone,

I am yet to add a dress watch to my collection. I personally don't feel Rolex are strong contenders in this field. I'm not mad on the Cellini collection, and I believe most Rolex watches to be best on a steel bracelet.

Obviously patek make fantastic dress watches, arguably the best. But they are very much out of my budget for now. So what other houses make good dress watches? On the other end of patek is nomos, A company I am growing to really admire. But what else is there? JLC reverso possibly, if you can consider it a true dress watch...

Please give me your opinions.

JLC has so many options.

My personal favorite is the MUT Moon.

But you also have Nomos, and Montblanc.

Jlc mut moon or tribute to 1931. Had both, still have the reverso. Also, zenith makes some good looking slim dress watches at great prices

The Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso line of watches is beautiful, classy and iconic.

JLC makes the best "reasonably" priced dress watches.

Reverso 1931 is a great option, as is the MUT 38.5mm. Check them out.

A. Lange & Söhne make the best dress watches on the planet.

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

Thanks for the replies, I have only ever looked at the reverse part of the JLC brand, wow I have been missing out... The Mut Moon phase!

£6,600 retail for a JLC watch which has a date, moon phase, good movement and is overall a beautiful looking watch! I think I know what my first dress watch will be, better start saving

Moser makes nice dress watches. IMHO the finishing is almost on par with PP. Check out the entry level Moser Small Second. Quite affordable as well.

If you don't want Patek, Rolex or AP for dress, I'd go with JLC.
