Rootbeer is an awesome watch.

It says to the world, "I have my own mind and I make all things around me look good..."

That's beautiful Craig.

I have always been a closet admirer of the Root Beer, it's one of the very few TT watches I would buy.

Congrats on a great piece.

The Root Beer GMT is stunning! Love it on the TT Jubilee bracelet and on a vintage leather strap!

Anyway, for those that like these please enjoy the shot. Currently set on the same time, but tomorrow when I fly to the USA via Japan the hour hand will do a fair bit of independent movement from local time zone in Sydney!
Many years ago, I was at a watch store in Tokyo, a store that carries a broad range of preowned watches, and a middle aged Japanese lady was buying a "root beer" GMT on an oyster bracelet for her adult son as a gift. The dealer placed the watch in its box and I must admit, I couldn't take my eyes off the watch. It was absolutely beautiful. My next door neighbor also had one, though he wore his on a jubilee bracelet. Conversely, his "root beer" had been a gift from his adult son. A few years later, I saw another one in Kame Kichi in Nakano, on the arm of a young Japanese man; and again, I was fascinated with the watch. I believe it is in that category of watches that you have to see in person to truly understand. It isn't everyone's cup of tea, like "The Hulk" perhaps, but like "The Hulk," it is special. Just my opinion...

I love mine, it had been my most coveted watch and I had been looking for one for a while. I think you either dig it or you don't.

I liked the Root Beer well enough to buy one. I added a two-tone Jubilee bracelet from a DJ. I thought it looked great, and matched certain clothes really well.
It only took a couple months for me to be bored with it. To be fair, I get bored easily. But now that the Root Beer has come and gone, it is nowhere near making my list again.
Not a hater, but at least I allowed myself to wear one before deciding it's not really for me.

Great photos.
It took me a while to appreciate them but one day it just 'clicked'.
Equally with the 16613 model TT Blue Sub it is the most eye-catching Rolex.
I do think it needs to be worn with 'Autumn-tone' clothing to achieve it's max impact.

I was watching preseason football when I noticed one of guys on the chains wearing a rootbeer. The bezel stood out, even with the orange glow of the light coming though the marker.
