New Black/Grey GMT nickname. “Stormy”?

126710 GRNR GMT Master II

I’m not a user of nicknames with other WIS but I have a lot of friends that know some of my watches and use the nicknames.

I know that this will get one form someone.

It’s a stormy day here and they sky looks like the new dial. It made me want to buy this watch even though I already own GMTs , so there it is.

Go ahead and hate!

Still rooting for the Kevin Conroy. Color combo matches his nighttime attire.

My vote would be for the “Lego Batman” - from the movie line “I only work in black - and sometimes very very dark grey”. Somehow seems fitting!

Ablogtowatch is calling it "Bruce Wayne" in its articles.

To keep with the soft drink / GMT taxonomy (with the exception of the Zombie), my vote is Coke Zero.

Coke-Zero has switched colors to Black/Red lately!

Not sure I get "Coke Zero," as the color scheme for that soft drink is black and red?

We should probably have a poll for the nickname, as another person had suggested "Penguin" to riff off of the super hero names that seem to have crept into Rolex pop culture, LOL.

I've got a Coke zero here in front of me and it's: aluminum, black, red, white, cold, sweaty, and bubbly.

Bruce Wayne makes more sense if I had to choose....dry, plain, soft spoken, understated, and rich.

Whenever I see GRNR I think of Guns and Roses.

But I'll just call it the GRNR when I type or the black and grey GMT II to my AD when I'm telling her I don't want that one but thanks anyway I'll wait for the black and blue.

I understand the Coke Zero reference due to those disappointed by there being no "Coke", but I suspect the "Bruce Wayne" will stick, time will tell. I'm okay with nicknames. Cheers!

Calling AD:

HI, I am interested in a Bruce Wayne....

HI, I am interested in a Coke Zero....

So lame and cringe. Anyone who calls an AD with any of these nick name lines wont be getting one. I just talked with my SA about this yesterday. He said anyone that calls and asks for any of these new watches by calling it a stupid super hero name or anything will have to buy 50k worth of jewelry to be put on " the list ". haha.

Bruce Wayne is a lame nickname. And it's unrelevant!

If that's the case, I think Dark Knight is better. If the American comic version of Batman is BLNR, GRNR is the live-action version of Batman's Dark Knight.

How about we call it the GRNR?
