I've stopped wearing shoes since this lockdown thing begun and now work from home. Trainers for me.

However, my current favourite casual shoe brand is Officine Creative.

I’m now in the habit of running most of my fashion questions past Dan (dddrees) and bookmarking most of his forum suggestions for future reference. I say this with caution though. I think I’m about 20 days into my latest Dan inspired custom footwear waitlist.

I'm just glad to hear you found some help in any of my recommendations. When purchasing the majority of my footwear the best place I found to seek advice and where all the real enablers were was on Styleforum. Hanging with those with much more experience than I. Not only with brands and most had a thread of their own but sizing as well. Never the best because sizing should all take place in person but because of my location was not always possible. Knowing my Brannock size and establishing my fit in some very common footwear with Alden and some others also helped and I am blessed with an average size feet which I am certain which made it much easier as well. BY the way sizing for shoes such as Rancourt and such not that difficult but if in doubt Rancourt I think still offers an option to try on some sort sizing shoes if necessary.

From Allen Edmonds to shoemakers like Edward Green, John Lobb, Gaziano and Girling, and Saint Crispins I was hooked.

There's just nothing that compares to wearing quality made anything and that most certainly includes not only watches but footwear as well. I've actually received more compliments on my footwear than I have ever received on my watches which typically fly under the radar.

Fendi has been killing the shoe game for Men recently in my opinion! I only wear “sneakers” but they are far more comfortable than other price equivalent brands!

Sorry, but there are better looking as well as better made footwear out there. I purchased one pair of ferragamos very early on and they a far from being one of my better pair of shoes. So although they may have some better options or better lines of shoes for the most part I am unimpressed.

I like Frye.

Wearing a pair of York Athletics Henry Mid Canvas, for daily kicks lately. They're so light you can't tell you wearing them!

The right shoes for the occasion is key... Recently picked up these tennis shoes. Didn't make me play better but my feet were very happy!

Barefoot Shoes - my recommendation

I will not recommend any specific brand lest it be considered advertising. But I would like to recommend the type of shoes. Barefoot Shoes are natural footwear without arch support that promotes natural foot strength and improved control. We are born to walk on a flat surface and then useless things are imposed on us that make our feet weak and painful.

For my nice casual driving shoes I have Tods. But I have several pairs of Nordstrom’s house brand driving moccasins that have worked out great at about 1/10th the price.

Also a fan of the zerogrand Cole Haan shoes. They seem well constructed enough and fit the casual to semi-casual bill really well.

A year ago I discovered barefoot shoes and completely revised my principles when choosing shoes. The wide toe box and lack of arch support make my feet feel natural. Yes, they have a strange design, but you get used to it. Now they even seem stylish to me :)
