Everest band on Sub 116618
Thought I would try out a black Everest strap on my 116618LN sub.
Ordered up the gold colored buckle from Everest on Monday, delivered this morning. The gold buckle is available separately but not listed on their website. I think it was $35 bucks. I know most of you prefer the bracelet on the watch, this just gives me the opportunity to spare the bracelet and clasp from desk diving. The all gold oyster is phenomenal. The weight of the watch on the Everest is still *sub*stantial. Feels a lot like my 116710 when I had rubber installed on it. Anyway. A few pictures for your viewing pleasure. |

Wow, fantastic, I really like it!
Like you I believe nothing beats the Rolex bracelet, but a nice change up with a band from time to time is very cool

That looks interesting. I am impressed with the fact they sell a gold plated buckle. It’s a great option

I like it, and I have several other Everest straps. But I think it would pain me to leave that lovely bracelet in the box. I paid a lot of $$ for it.

Looks great! Albeit, I’m a huge rubber strap guy. The Omega SMPc lives on a Zealande rubber and I’m debating between the Everest or RubberB for my sub for the same reasons you made the change. Looking good! Cheers!

looks great....only thing I don't like is how long their straps are. (or at least by all the pics I see)

Not my favorite. I prefer the bracelet on the PM models.

I think it's a great look. Really makes the gold pop against the black.

Thank you to the OP for incenting me to order the Everest w/ GP buckle, (+$30). I was hesitant but realized that this strap will fit my 114060 as well, and it comes with the SS buckle. So my changed my alleged mind.
I prefer Everest over Rubber B and the former is longer and that fits my 7.5" wrist better. The watch awaits the arrival of the strap today! I feel I will wear this more often with the rubber strap and preserve the bracelet. Of course I can always pop the bracelet on when desired. |

Funny that I just order an Everest with buckle on Friday. This stay in place is not good since all I do is look for things to buy. I also ordered the screwdriver set, watch block and spring bar tool. I looked at a few videos and it looks fairly easy to install. Did you put it on yourself or took it to a shop? I got it in black for my Air King 116900. Looks good in pictures and I hope I don't have a problem installing it. Just worried about scathing the watch. I also didn't want to use my clasp to keep it in great shape and put it away for a while. Let me know if you had any bad experience putting it on. Thanks..

I think it looks great! Wondering if the Rolex clasp would work with the rubber B or Everest instead of the buckle

You can also use your original Rolex clasp with the Everest, or get the band with a buckle.

Was it easy to remove and install the rubber band? Also, did you any problems removing the screw from the clasp? Just getting prepare so I know what to expect..

I have changed Rolex bracelets often enough so that I am pretty good at it. I don't sweat tiny marks under the lugs as some do. I was more careful with the YG though. Sometimes the aftermarket strap isn't an easy fit but that % is fairly low. I DID have an issue with Rubber B telling me their GMT strap would fit an MG. It did not.

Very easy to do with the right tools. First time I ever did it it took me 10 min. The harder part is putting the bracelet back on without scratching the back of the lugs. Just make sure to tape them up and you’ll be good to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
