I think it’s funny that everyone says they don’t care what other people think or wear, but post their watches to a worldwide platform.

Or that half the posts here are the same six-eight forum darlings.

Interesting.

I post to the WRUW loads of times, but I never expect and never get feedback. And I always flick through that thread just to see what others are wearing, but I almost never write to anyone. Instead, for me, it's ... just feeling happy with my watch and wanting to share that feeling with like-minded people.

Is that, "Wanting to share with like-minded people," the same as, "Caring what other people think?" Is being part of any group automatically caring what other people think? Is the only person who truly doesn't care what other people think, someone who lives alone with no friends?

Great question.

The only people who don’t care what anyone thinks are sociopaths, IMO

I had a submariner for a time, the lack of date and the thick clasp slowly but surely pushed me to sell it. I have a yachtmaster rhodium now and I am more satisfied with the aesthetics of the case, bracelet, clasp and the precious metal bezel. Rolex has turned into a jewellery company a long time ago anyway, may as well embrace it completely considering the price they charge these days for even an oyster perpetual
