Well done! In fact, I haven't worn mine in awhile. The date might come in handy, too, since I've no bloody idea what today's date is without first searching the house for my phone. I've been wearing an Explorer the last couple of months, which is, perhaps, ironic, considering I've nothing to explore, besides my DVD collection.
On the other hand, the Explorer has nothing to tempt me to fiddle with it on rapid trips to the grocery store. No chronograph buttons to push with unsanitized hands, nor a bezel to rotate with hands that have just pushed that dreaded shopping cart. All the same, the Submariner is suitable for these days, since we're all submarining at home, coming up for fresh air infrequently. And, think of all the activity the switch will mean. I'll have to get it out, wind it, set it, put away the Explorer...should just about tide me over until I watch "The Omega Man" again... Wearing a Rolex. Blasphemy. Ok, I'll break out Dad's old Speedmaster Professional and wind that, too! Seriously, congratulations on getting your old favorite back. Carry on... |

Back to the future - having also owned several examples of all three of the models you refer to I opted to buy back a 14060M for my collection......but the 16610 was a very close second with the Seadweller a very distant third. Hope you continue to enjoy your new Sub in good health.
