I have a Submariner from 1990, and on the clasp there is engraved “MTL”.
Does it mean anything? |

I've only ever seen this once before on a 90s TT sub. But it was in lower case

I don't know what "MTL" means. I have a couple of flip lock Oyster bracelet clasps (1990 & 1999) that I looked at and no letters in the same place (pictured below).
note: checking bracelet clasp reference #s OP's most likely has an 18k/SS bracelet 93153, the two below are all SS, so that may have something to do with the "MTL", but I don't know. Last edited by vintagewatch; 23 April 2020 at 05:02 AM.. Reason: more research |
