312 or 392 ?

This is a difficult decision but before going to compare watches at a dealer need to ask my friends on the forum. There are two almost identical models with 2 mm difference in the case, 312 and 392 Are saying?
The 392 worth 6% less...but which one one is the most emblematic, the symbol of Panerai ?.

When asked like this, the answer is easy: 312. 44mm + now a classic modern workhorse model.

312 is classic! Incidentally, i'll be listing my N series 312 for sale shortly. Serviced by Panerai in August of 2014 to the tune of $736. Now carries a new one year warranty. Message me privately if interested!

312 all the way. I just purchased mine and haven't noticed it being too top heavy of a watch in comparison to the luminors. Plus, 312 is a 44mm!!

I debated between those 2 myself. It should depend on how it fits your wrist. I have 6.75" wrists and found the 392 to be the better fit, so I went ith that one.

I tried on both, felt the 392 fits my 6.7 wrist better.

Definitely go for 312. I used to have pam 392, sold it after 1 year and got the 312. I was glad and never regret with the decision.

i was in the exact same dilemma and a watch enthusiast advised me to go for a 44mm over the 42 since that is usually the reason pams are sought after.. the big chunky size.

leaning towards the 312, he then suggested me the 320 which is exactly the same except has the GMT function and with a very nominal difference.. i then made up my mind to go for it despite having a small wrist size..
