Haha, thanks Don!

I definitely felt it getting to 110 mph faster than I thought on the drive home.

Not a Vette guy, but saw one today on the 405 in LA with that same color and had to do a double take! They really hit it out of the park on this design. Haven't driven it yet but would love to try on a Z06 when they are released.

Congrats and have fun!

Normally (not always) I’m not a fan of after market wheels on cars. Especially on Corvettes. You changed my mind with these Jesse. They add to the car.
Congratulations and enjoy the new ride.
And watch the speed. You’ve got a lot to live for.

Thanks John - and you're absolutely right with that last line.

C8 update

Looks good!

I wonder what a C8 would look like with some nice deep dish Work wheels. Like the Meister S1s... mmmm

Jess not sure if you already have them but no Corvette is complete without a set of Lloyds Mats. I’m not sure about the C8 but the mats by GM in the C6/C7 were junk. https://www.lloydmatsstore.com/featu...8aAvnUEALw_wcB

Beautiful mate!

How's the trip to Sequoia looking at the moment?

Really nice. Get a PBA card if possible. I am in your Mom’s age group, not sure if I have the ability to get in and out of it. I have a more upright Audi A4 with the bigger standard engine.

Just in case any of you Corvette nuts are interested.

I've just stumbled upon a Corvette book, on fleabay.

Entitled; Large Original Car Showroom 40 X27” USA Mounted Poster Corvettes Stingray Etc.
I expect you've all got a copy!

There seem to be hundreds of books on Corvettes, but as I say, just in case someone has been searching for this particular tome.

It's in England, so....postage.

ps. I have absolutely no connection with this item.

That certainly was the case when I bought my C6. I got Lloyds mats right away and they started to curl up in the corners and even affected the pedal movement, they went in the trash in less then a year. I’ll never use the again.

We're looking at Sequoia early next year but we do have Tahoe booked for November.

Hoping everything with the fires is over and done with by then, both for our sake and current residents of the area.

Thats good.
The news reports over here (UK) looked incredibly bad, both in size and scale of damage being done to (giant Sequoia) trees and infrastructure. Wrapping trees in foil etc.

Congrats on the sick car. Owned a c8 vert for a whole day (sold for an offer that couldn’t be refused). Incredible value. Huge step up for GM. Enjoy it!

Looks spectacular !

Sorry to sound like “dad”, but IMO, keep the future mods minimal, too many change the essence of the car.

I'm in agreement with you - my wife asked what else we were going to do and I told her outside of the Z51 splitter that I'm installing, we're not doing anything else.

I want to enjoy the car as is...it's exactly how I want it to look and I truly don't think it needs anything more at the moment.

Thanks for the advice, from car guys like you, Superdog, etc.!

EDIT: I did blacken out the reverse lights, but I think this looks a lot better than the previous bright white taillights!

Jess, big congratulations on this newborn! I know you have been anxiously waiting and it certainly is worth the wait. I have seen many C8 in car club meeting and at the track, all colors but this blue is incredibly beautiful. So so unique and special. The little guys will grow into car guys like my son whom is a car fanatic. Enjoy the beast and have fun cruising, it’s a very cool and special car.

Awesome car. And that color is too nice. Congrats!

P.S. Now you may need a matching Smurf LB Sub!
