Yacht Master 40 rose gold + Kermit for …

Let me just start with a simple
I LOVE my yacht master 40 in rose gold I think it’s such an underrated watch, I also absolutely love the oysterflex and the way it feels.

However I do miss the gold bracelet a bit and I NEVER ever wear the Kermit (2007) I have the chance to trade the YM + Kermit for a brand new Rose gold GMT CHNR, even trade no extra money. Would you do it ?

I basically owned every gmt but that one at this point, I only kept the Pepsi that will most likely never leave my collection.

Which one do you think is more special? YM doesn’t get that much love but to me is so special , full rose gold gmt tho, seems like a whole different league.

And as you can tell don’t care much about the Kermit XD

Seems like a fair trade, but only do what you think is right for you.

Defo. The substitute for the YM40 as it’s not available with gold bracelet

I would never do that trade. You are going to give a gold rolex that you like and a classic SS that you don't like (but can easily sell) for a TT??? What's in your water bro?

Pretty sure he is referring to the full Gold variant.

Otherwise yes it would be a bad deal! Haha

I would definitely rather what you have instead of the full RH GMT. YMMv.

Maybe see about trading the Sub + cash for the PM piece?

Why not a yellow gold sub? It is slightly below list. Just trade in you 18KYG YM + Cash .. keep the Kermit.

I don’t like the way newer reference subs look on my wrist, while the gmt for some reason looks perfect, crazy how a millimeter changes things.

YM has an incredible charm that’s why it’s so hard to do the trade for me, I’m trying to account for everything , amount of gold, desirability but also how good they look

Try wearing the YM 3-4 days in a row. If you can't wait to wear something else do the trade. If the Sub is a full set maybe sell it separately.

Wow this would be a dilemma for me as well. To be honest, as much as I love rose gold, I think with full bracelet it is a bit much. But thats just my opinion...

Depends on how I wake up and the occasion, for the most past I’m very attracted to the oysterflex but at times I do miss the full gold bracelet (I used to have a full RG Daytona)

I think I figured out what I love so much about the YM tho, and it’s the very well camouflaged numbers on the bezel, everything just looks clean and minimalist, while other sports model have these bold numbers that look a little tacky at times, daytona excluded

I'm usually against a 2 for 1.

But I vote yes for the trade.

It’s a fair trade but it’s not like you’re getting a ton of value trading 2 for 1. Doesn’t sound like you’re on a tight budget either.

I’d sell the Kermit because it’s clear you don’t care for it that much. Put that towards the CHNR and have that and the YM a while. Later on sell the one you don’t care for as much. Or be surprised that you like both enough that they’re both worth keeping.

I’d do it.
But you’ll miss the ym, I had one and traded it. It’s such a good watch because even though it’s a gold Rolex it can run so under the radar. The bezel and strap really really tone it down. The full rose will be a lot different, but I’d still go ahead with the trade. That gmt is so nice.

Heck yeah I would do that. Pop it onto an OF when you are feeling in the mood for a strap.

I’d do the trade. You can always add the YM back if you miss it.

No you love the rose ym so keep that.

Strongly consider the TT CHNR as I believe it's better looking than the full RG version. Not having as much rose gold really helps the rose gold, for example on the bezel, pop on the two tone model, while it's just drowned out if the RG is too prevalent. Sell the Kermit for it. Why keep a watch you never wear?

My misunderstanding, I apologize. From a value perspective, the trade seems fine. Personally, I would still keep the YM40 and Kermit as that duo is much more versatile. Good luck with whatever you decide :)

Sounds fair to me, especially since you never wear the Kermit. Make it happen!

Sounds like you might miss the YM but I think the GMT is a more special piece. If adding isn't an option, I'd do the trade.

If you like the minimalist aspect of the YM, are you sure you want to trade it for a full gold watch? Pretty much the opposite of camouflage.

Normally yes, I would consolidate two watches for one "bigger" watch. However, in this case, I* would opt against it because I don't like rose gold. (* me & only me, with my wrist & my money. You like rose gold, so this sounds like a good deal.)
