DJ 41, a few opinions needed.

I've never been a diamond or jubilee fan, but lately I'm drawn to the DJ41 with a rhodium diamond dial / jubilee.

Thoughts on that diamond dial? Just stick with the regular rhodium no diamonds?

Can you dress the jubilee bracelet down on that watch for causal jeans/t shirt attire? Would no diamonds be better for this?

Last question stems on price - I bought my Sub new, but decided for future purchases I'd rather buy used... what price used in 6-12 months from now do you see the DJ41 with fluted bezel/diamond dial? Lowest I saw a new one go for on this board was 2 months ago at $8900.

Thanks for all opinions.

I love mine with the diamonds. I wear it with everything and go to the gym with it. It comes down to you. I am not one who cares what others think.
What you do lose is the illuminated hands and markers when you go with the diamond version.

Didn't know about the lume, beautiful watch though - congrats!

Did you have diamonds in any previous/other watches?

Go for it if you like it. That's all that really matters.

As mentioned above, you will miss out on lume.

Why wouldn't they put lume on the hands? I don't get that.

Doesn't push me in one direction or the other regardless.

I really love all the new DJ models though, big fan.

Put it on before you buy it. I was going for it until I tried it on. It's much dressier than you'd think... I work at a tech company and I didn't buy it because I thought it would look ridiculously formal. Again, maybe it's me but I'd highly recommend that you try it on before you buy it.

Like the OP, i like the Rhodium dial, diamond index but prefer oyster band. I tried it on and loved it! Almost bought it in July 2017 and still regret not buying it...

I work for a tech company too and this is one of my fears with this watch, especially with the jubilee bracelet.

I’d go rhodium diamond dial and oyster bracelet.

I don’t see the DJ41 dropping that much in 6-12 months from now. In 6 months it will be just over a year from its release at Basel and its a popular piece.

Can't go wrong with diamonds if you want them. Both of my DJ41's have them, champagne and black, and are beautiful pieces. The jubilee is quintessential in my opinion for this watch, especially with diamonds.

In that light this reminds me of the white Turn-o-Graph, amd I mean in a good way. This is nice. I am still torn between this and the rhodium.

The smooth bezel with the jubilee is the one to get. It's perfectly balanced without too much dazzle.

I wasn't planning on buying the diamond dial but that was the only DJ41 in stock so I tried it on for size. Once I was it on my wrist I knew it was a keeper. It really isn't flashy at all. And it really helped that my wife was there and said she loved it.

I’d be extra cautious buying a used Rolex with diamond dial or bezel. Those are easily changed with aftermarket parts that aren’t authentic Rolex parts to pass of a watch as something it is not.

DJII is 41mm, bigger bezel, DJ41 is 39.25mm, smaller bezel. Slightly different case proportions.

I like sticks and for me the fluted bezel is more a DJ signifier than the Jubilee, tho obviously not much in it, so with Oyster bracelet.
