2024 teasers and new releases for other watches at Watches & Wonders

Something is cooking...
Created a thread for 2024 new independent releases.

Please feel free to post, regardless how boring to you these watches are.

Thank you for creating this thread.

Simon Brette just put a teaser on their Instagram. Looks like they might be announcing the next version of the Chronomètre Artisans. If true don’t worry I will complain non-stop about how I can’t have it. Also it looks like it might have some purple elements which means I’m gonna be insufferable.

Some have received confirmation and paid deposit for their rose gold SBCA. Have you received your confirmation yet?

I never heard from them since I filled out the questionnaire I received back in May 2023. I sent them an email a few weeks ago but all I got was a boilerplate response. Kind of bummed but it’s not the end of the world. Happy for those who are getting it and can’t wait to see the full reveal.

Be patient. If not the rose gold, you will get the platinum or SS. All very nice.

You’re right. I have no real reason to complain. It’s great seeing a new brand have such immediate success. I’ll be cautiously optimistic :)

Out of curiosity any specific brand announcements you looking forward to?

Parm is teasing what looks like might be a manual wind toric relaunch. I'm pretty interested to see that

Price is reasonable for a skeletonized tourbillon. 40mm is very wearable too. Paging @ap1

I love everything but the hands. Overall great watch and addition to Czapek. Very competitive pricing too.

I’m actually kind of shocked, I was expecting this to be over 100K. The only drawback I can think of is the finishing. Moser does an OK job usually. I’m fine with the machine finishing they do on a 20-30K streamliner but I’m curious if they decided to spend more hours on the final product for this one. I feel like they could really show off if they wanted to. Again, great watch and price but would like to see it up close.

For me, Moser sits in a weird spot where I'd rather just spend more and get something from someone with a more unique movement and better finishing or way, way less and basically get the same finishing.

I really do like the brand but I’ve passed on a few releases because the value proposition is very weird. Like you said it’s in that tough area where if I spend more I can get something even better but not for a substantially higher amount of money. I still want a streamliner because I love the design and how it wears on the wrist, but I’d definitely pay more for better finishing.

Lange uses the triangle shape as reference points to create "ideal" positioning of different dial content...e.g. with the Lange 1, the middle of the "time dial", the middle of the big date and the middle of the small second form an equilateral triangle..

I love rainbow dials and this is very well executed. Very decently priced too if you can get it at retail.

Fantastic representation of the Elegante ethos - fun watch, bold design, ‘low’ MSRP, high margin.

For collectors not into traditional round watch with 3 hands - this is your antidote.

https://monochrome-watches.com/hands...n-specs-price/

De Bethune DB Kind of Grande Complication DBK2TV2

Eight complications spread across two dials. The contemporary face of the DBK2TV2 is home to the high-speed De Bethune 30-second tourbillon, the retrograde age of the Moon, the end of the power reserve indication and the time. Commanding the centre of the dial is De Bethune’s hallmark deltoid bridge, with its bright mirror-polished titanium surface supporting the asymmetric gear trains. The gleaming bridge is surmounted by a second, smaller blued-titanium deltoid structure for the minutes and jumping seconds bridge.

IMG_20240409_073203_(768_x_511_pixel).jpg

Swivelling the case of the DB Kind of Grande Complication reveals the more classical face, which hosts a perpetual calendar and a 3D moon phase display.

IMG_20240409_073147_(768_x_511_pixel).jpg

42.3mm diameter x 13.85mm thickness
CHF 400,000

I really like De Bethune but this is more of I like that it exists type of watch more so then being one I’d want to own.

I am not a big fan of rainbow watches. The black dialed elegante intrigues me. I really don't think I can pull off a rainbow journe.

By a man who wanted to sit at a table with Breguet, had he lived in the same era… but I guess it sells and François Paul has to pay the bills like everyone else…

It makes more sense if you take the time to read the backstory.
