I was reading a forum post online about a poor guy who had found out that his wife was having at least an emotional affair with some artist she met.

A detail of the story was that she had bought boyfriend an expensive watch, a Tag Heuer.

My takeaway from learning that detail was "well, there's no accounting for taste."

I think it means that people who buy their paramour a Tag Heuer don't have much taste, Marc.
