Sub 14060 "Tritinova" Dial

Hi! Anyone who could assist on details/experience for the "U"-Series 1997/1998 T > 25 HOWEVER yet Luminova dial for the 14060? I just got one - completely unknowing about the "transitional" feature - an was WONDERING a lot that it glows in the dark! The watch is as new (!) complete with papers and stuff...

I would be glad to find anyone who knows or has....

Best, Kristian

I had to read 4 times to understand...albeit I am not sure I do.

Post some pics. T means tritium so not sure how or why you think its Luminova. I wonder if they did something like this for replacement/service dials.

Someone smarter will be along shortly.

Post some pics.

In this time frame the change from tritium to luminover around 1998 quite a few models had the Tritium marker bottom of dial, but plots/hands were Luminover just Rolex using up the old dials nothing more.

Check out Chrono24 on "Rolex Tritinova" and youŽll find a few examples (EXII, SD, Daytona). Also on HQH "16040 Transitional" youŽll find one. So - to be precise - this is indeed an existing exotic variation!

Makes sense although kinda cheesy for Rolex to do in my opinion. I mean either T means Tritium or not...or I guess sometimes.

Good news is that now people can rave about these dials and try to charge more for them! I'd pay more for one of these right after I'd pay more for a "flat 4"...never.
