Montegrappa Pens

Hi,

I have been looking to buy montegrappa pen and they seem to range from $100 to $1000s. Any opinion on the quality and collectors value of Montegrappa pens would highly appreciated. Based on their e-mail, they are designed and made in Italy.

I looked in to these a while back. The extra 1930 caught my eye.
I believe the is a well respected brand.

I just picked up a Fortuna rollerball from Montegrappa today. I'm a pen noob so am not sure what to say critically but so far so good.

Today is Monday...drive right down to the Pen Store when they open up for business and buy that Rollerball. Then tell us what you got and whether you like the way it feels in your hand and how it writes!!!

Montegrappa pens are nice lookers, but if you are acquiring a specimen with the thought of using it and then perhaps trading or selling it in the future, be aware that their resale value will tank about 70% from retail. Which is a shame...!

They are nice instruments, but not well appreciated.
