The same thing that makes us all run slow. Old age and not getting our stems wound often enough!

Maybe The Oaks watch needs some No Doze?

I'm afraid I can be of no good use on this one as I never look at the time on my watch.

Two of the indicators of a watch in need of a service are slower running and a much lower power reserve since the oils and greases are no longer doing their job..

If your watch is underwound it will actually run slightly faster since there is less pull on the gear train and the escapement moves more freely without the extra torque and friction from the mainspring (up to a point of course.....then it stops)
