I like the black one best

The simplicity of the black & white is what puts it over the edge for me.

Black has a devilish look about it.
That's a compliment btw.

what about your current collection right now?

I have a lot of black dial watch, so I would gravitate toward the other colors.

I had the Grey one, its a nice watch. But if price is not an issue go Black, not because is more scare but because the chrono subdial is the same color as the dial. That's the only reason.
good luck

The blue one is stunning. That'd be my choice. Then again, I have a soft spot for blue dials.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I had the opportunity to view the black dial yesterday. It's a beautiful timepiece, no doubt. I'm not sure if it was the room lighting (white florescent) however the dial didn't seem to pop. I was hoping to see the deep black come out. I took several photos and this shot seem to be the closest. The black is also seems to be very dressy and very appropriate to say a black tie event. Unfortunately, I'm more of a casual dress down type of a guy.

In my collection, I do have a number of black dials (Rolex Subs/Seadwellers/GMTs & Panerai), a 5711 blue dial and AP 15202, silver dial JLC.

Just out of curiosity, for those that had once owned one or more of this reference, what was the reasoning why you had flipped or sold it?

TIA

I own the gray.

For me, I like it because it wears well with jeans or a jacket.

Black is more subtle, gray is a little bit sporty...
I love them both but if I was lucky enough to have one at this point Id go with the gray.
Really all depends on what else you have in the collection, you can't go wrong with any of the three...

For me blue or grey. Black did nothing for me.

I sold my whole PP collection over the course of a couple of weeks, I didn't single out the 5960P black for sale, in fact I wore it more than many of the others. Only small complaint was that I didn't like the round pushers, but that is nothing to do with the black dial.

Personally, I'm a sucker for blue dials. I think they are more "playful" and as I don't regard the 5960 as a particularly "dressy watch" I think the blue suits it character most.....

Since its induction, I have always been and still am a fan of the original grey dial.

Well put. In going back and reviewing this thread i tried to determine what the draw to the black dial was - and this simplicity (same color subdial, lack of red) was what gives the black dial the advantage (in my mind).

And to thread starter big congrats on the acquisition

Once you go black.... He he.

I think it's the most elegant, versatile, low production... The best.
