Thanks Larry ! Excellent pictures.
Compared with the new C Subs and GMTs, I think this is better balanced, its not that bulk, no center polished link and without a complicated bezel. If it had also lug holes........ This is a GMT and Sub lover speaking, that dislikes their new versions.

I have the 16550 Black Dial and like the red hand and the way it looks against the black dial and prefer the Explorer II in white lettering as well. Not a fan of the larger case but really like the updated bracelet and clasp a lot.

Anyone have any insight into the 3187 movement calibre "that boasts Paraflex shock absorbers and a non-magnetic Parachrom hairspring" I am assuming the GMTC, Sub-C, any other Rolex with the blue parachrom has the "paraflex shock absorption" as well??? or is this new? Thanks.

No. The diver's models are fitted with the GLIDELOCK CLASP only which replaces the older diver extension models on the older Sub.
The new Exp-II will have the EASYLINK bracelet quite similar to the GMT-IIC, Daytona, etc. which gives you the 5 mm extension link which pulls out from the clasp. See specs on page one of this thread and read all of them carefully. It's quite clearly mentioned about the bracelet. JJ

Yep I absolutely need this watch. I need to start planting the seed in my wife's head so she will be prepared when I discuss the purchase of this watch in 6 - 8 months.

well, the "his" line has three right now and "her" line has two, so, in the meantime, convince her she needs one. bump her line up to three and then you're good to go! |

This is true but she has an eye on a Patek! Talk about good taste but certainly not good for my pocketbook!

Thanks for the beautiful pics. With the exception of no trip lock crown, I think Rolex hit this one out of the park.
