Bucket list?

I was just wondering if any members have something they want to do or accomplish before they meet their maker. I have been thinking about this lately after a recent fall off my bicycle at forty MPH+. It was a stupid mistake because I knew all the gravel has not been removed from all the snow. Anyway, I have been a lot of places and have done a lot of things; after contemplation, I realize that sharing those things with my children + wife (travel and fun things) is all I really want as well as still being able to continue to enjoy my own adventures with stupidity of course.

Space travel. I think that would be my ultimate bucket item.

What an interesting thread.
I'm not in my 30s so I guess perhaps I should also have a bucket list.

I don't have much stuff and I suppose by nature it is a pretty selfish list. I guess these are bucket items because I would still try and achieve these if I found my time was limited:

1. Run 100 marathons (42 to go).
2. Run 100 miles in an event. (way off that right now. Tried and failed at this 2yrs ago - dropped out at 83 miles or so.)
3. Shelby Mustang. Ideally at 40.
4. Harley Davidson. Ideally at 50.
5. A weird one. I'd like to learn to pole vault at the age of 50. I've never tried it. The idea fascinates me.

...and of course lots of family stuff that goes without saying.

There really isn't any place I'd like to go, but I would like to continue to develop in terms of character and expertise.

I haven't been everywhere, but I've been around, so the inner journey is the most appealing to me at this time.

I'm 56 there is nothing I want to buy or visit in my " bucket list", no bigger deer mount on the wall, no new pr in the deadlift . None of that matters to me anymore.

I Would like to simply watch our two adult children continue on in their careers and raise happy families.

The end.

I have many things that I still want to do but at the top of the list is to live long enough to dance at my granddaughter's wedding. (No granddaughter in the pic at this point though!)

Amen Larry!

I have a ton on my list but as I age my list seems to change.

Owning a vacation home on Providenciales, TCI is a big one for me.

Going to Bora Bora. (Was going to do this next year but we're renting a house on a 50 acre Bahamian island instead.)

Own a newer Ferrari. (Gladly give this up for the home on Provo)

The first two will more than likely happen, not so sure I can make the third happen without skipping out on one or two of the kids college tuition.

I'd like to ride a horse through Monument Valley. Otherwise, I've been lucky enough to go everywhere I ever wanted to go (often with my work), or stopped wanting to go there. My wanderlust has been satisfied.

They're gorgeous, aren't they.
Unfortunately a good one is well north of A$120,000. these days.
Might have to settle for No.2 on the list - Live long enough to see the interest rates top 5% again.

The most important thing on my bucket list is simple this that everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive. The most precious thing we have is life, yet it has absolutely no trade-in value.I have had quite a good life seen a lot of this wide world and dived the worlds oceans that will do for me.

Interesting topic..

Nothing I can think of right now.

Getting married and becoming a father were two things I wanted to do in life, and I have a wonderful and happy family now.

In one of my hobbies (ham radio), one achievement I wanted to do was to bounce radio signals off the moon to communicate with other ham radio operators doing the same. It is quite a feat to do. I did that back in 2012, after a several year project to put the station together to accomplish it. It was definitely a happy moment and that was a 'bucket list' item for me.

I guess there are some places I would like to travel one day.. I'm sure other bucket list items will come up down the road..

Ironically riding over 50mph on a bike was one till I broke 52.2 mph a few years back. Another was 5K miles in one year, and finally, riding up 10,000 ft Mt Haleakala in Maui.

Recently it was swimming w/ sharks but that was ticked off the list last month.

It's been a dream of mine to get a sailboat and take the family cruising for the summer throughout the Caribbean. I'd like to teach my daughter to fish, snorkel, freedive, etc. That would be a great adventure to share with my family. Now I just need a Hylas 46 monohull or a Gunboat 55 catamaran!
