Thank you very much. After 19 years with Giant Schnauzers, Brinks is our first Shepherd. He was also our first and only foster. We figured we would just keep fostering dogs but once we had him we knew we couldn’t give him up. His first year alive was clearly not a good one but he has grown into such a wonderful family member. It’s truly frightening to know he was a half hour away from being euthanized.


To anyone who volunteers with a dog rescues or who fosters dogs THANK YOU.

Shepherds are some of the best dogs I’ve ever had as part of my family. They will be my continued choices for family that I can choose.

Thank you so much for fostering Brinks and thinking of fostering other dogs!! I could not do it, every dog would end up being mine after a week.

Heart makes up for a whole hell of a lot of other shortcomings where I come from. She is gorgeous and looks to have decided your boy is hers. You can’t ask for anything more!!

Thank you for both compliments. Elsa is a very good dawg, superb personality and smarts. Sometimes too smart. She had a big stuffed piggy that was her favorite toy...until one day it wasn't.

You can get a good feel for your dog's friendly disposition from the pics you have posted- don't ever change your avatar! Sorry to hear about your Ridgeback that had Cushing's. My mom has bred and showed Ridgebacks for over 40 years so I have a special place in my heart for the breed.

Surprisingly not. It seems that a lot of Really Great Pyrenees / Aussome Shepherd mix dogs look just like him. He's even got the natural nub tail from both his Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog roots. He's not agile like them though. He's just a big 'ol lovable, slightly awkward mutt pup.
