Greetings from Chicago

I have been lurking this forum for a couple months. I have had always admired craftsmanship of Rolex watches and I am thinking that it may be time to get one. I tried on a Milgauss at Rolex Chicago about a year ago and completely fell in love with it. I have had Omega and Tag Heur watches before, and honestly they cannot be compared to a Rolex.

It looks like I will be getting a Milgauss by the end the year and many more throughout the years.

Welcome and good choice, though Omega has their own fans too.. and maybe, you can consider Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra too! :)

Welcome to the obsession! Always good to greet a new member from my home town. Lotta love for Omega here, many members own both, myself included.

The Milgauss is a great watch. Which one are you considering?

T. Ferguson, I am currently considering a Milgauss with a black dial. I just think it goes well with everything from a t-shirt and jeans to a suit.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome!

Greetings from Chicago

Welcome from a little farther south in Illinois. Milgauss is a great watch and the GV is a looker. It was originally the one that I wanted as my first Rolex but I could not get over the lack of a date so I went DJ on an oyster with a smooth bezel.

If you are looking for the non GV Milgauss in black you better snag one. I believe they discontinued that one. I could be wrong but I believe that is what my AD contact told me.

You are correct, the black dial comes only in the GV now.
