hooray for increased 100m WR offerings among fine watches.

Nice to see offerings from the different brands that are providing 100m WR in watches.

greubel forsey Balancier S
De Bethune DB28
ALS Odysseus
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo
aquanaut
and of course the OG nautilus 5711 to name a few.

looking at the market it would seem this has been a largely unanswered challenge to Rolex entire line up since the beginning.

I'm sure there are others please mention them if you know.

what are your thoughts on the increased WR?

Agree with this 100% for the peace of mind. I’d add the moser streamliner in as well

10000% agree for those who wear 24/7 including the shower, in the pool, the beach.... When the Octo FS came out with 100m rating I was soooooo there. Amazing timepiece, especially with the original movement. Even Czapek does 120m

Some are but a lot seem to be “splash resistant “. That nice purple/blue dial GMT on bracelet for example.

No thankfully I came to my senses and sold a 5513 instead.

Since then I have taken quite a liking to it.

Yes, but they're still missing a trick. A dress watch with 100mWR and a sailcloth/rubber strap would be wonderful!

I think this fits your criteria, what I love about this is it can be a dress watch but can also be a sports watch. Rubber strap, and 100m WR

Prices have been stronger recently but i still feel like this is the best buy on earth for luxury watch nerds (like all of us here). I dont understand why these dont sell for multiples of what they do but i hope it stays that way for another year or two so i can add 1-2 more versions of it.

Agree 100%. If more dress watches had 100m+ water resistance, I'd be more inclined to purchase them.

Great PF timepieces! I feel the more independent brands are better at that careful balance of fine dress up AND fun sports.

Titanium Octo finissimo is only 30m rating, but I don’t mind
